NOTTINGHAM, England (AP) - Sven-Goran Eriksson is being linked to League Two struggler Notts County.
According to several newspapers, radio and TV reports on Tuesday, English football's oldest league club, which is owned by Middle Eastern business consortium Munto Finance, wants to appoint the former England coach as a director of football.
BBC Radio Nottingham said Eriksson was having talks with the club but County, formed in 1862 and a Football League member since 1888, and the Swede's agent, Athole Still, declined to comment on the reports.
County finished 19th in League Two last season. Its only success was winning the FA Cup in 1894 and it was last in the top flight in 1991.
