LONDON (AP) - Norway midfielder Bjorn Helge Riise was on the verge Monday of joining Fulham from Lillestrom.
The 26-year-old Riise - whose older brother John Arne spent seven seasons with Liverpool and now plays for AS Roma in Serie A - traveled to London for contract talks and a medical, Fulham said on its Web site.
"This process is not due to be completed until late on Tuesday evening," the Premier League club said in a statement.
Norwegian media reported that the transfer fee would be around 16 million kroner ($2.5 million; €1.8 million).
Riise is currently in his fifth season with Lillestrom and has played 16 times for Norway.
